Time Hole is set to take place this Golden Week, featuring a one-night-only long set by the brilliant John Talabot.

Originally from Barcelona, Spain, John Talabot has made waves in the music scene with releases on labels such as Permanent Vacation and Young Turks, quickly gaining recognition as a rising talent. He has been managing his own label, Hivern Discs, since 2009 and consistently releasing music ever since. In 2011, he was chosen as a remixer for tracks by the charismatic indie rock band The XX, and they toured together the following year. In 2013, he released a mix for the prestigious DJ-Kicks series by !K7 Records. He also collaborated with Axel Boman of Studio Barnhus as Talaboman, releasing an album on the iconic dance music label R & S Records in 2017.

While many may associate him with nu-disco and deep house, John has been gradually shifting his musical style as a DJ in recent years. He performs at major events like Dekmantel and has made consecutive appearances at the renowned Houghton festival, organized by Fabric London's key figure Craig Richards. He also performs back-to-back sets with notable figures such as Rey Colino, who heads the significant Amsterdam label Kalahari Oyster Cult, and Nicolas Lutz from Uruguay, a top name in techno-minimal. Furthermore, he is often booked at London's underground party Cartulis, curated by Unai Trotti with residents like Junki Inoue and Z@p, indicating his move towards more cutting-edge, dancefloor-oriented music.

In his 2023 Boiler Room x Sugar Mountain mix, he showcased a darker, more minimal, and exhilarating evolution of the abstract and entrancing grooves he has been known for throughout his career. Those curious about the current state of John Talabot should definitely check out this mix. His upcoming performance in Japan this May promises to deliver a fresh DJ set that continues to evolve while he remains at the forefront of the scene.

Additionally, the visuals for the event will be handled by REALROCKDESIGN, the creative collective he leads, promising a special production befitting the scene leader. This is also highly anticipated.
