Cabaret Recordings, a Berlin-based label organized by dj masda and So Inagawa, celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2023. To commemorate this event, an anniversary party will be held at Womb for three consecutive months.

This time, the final event of Cabaret Recordings 10th anniversary series features the formidable Evan Baggs, along with DJ Masda and So Inagawa who run Cabaret.

On the VIP Floor, Yama’, known for hosting the party Neon Lights at the discreet DJ bar Koara, nestled deep within Shibuya Kan-nana, will perform. Joining him are LICAXXX, the head of Tokyo Community Radio, and Celter, who can be described as one of the most dynamic young artists on the Tokyo scene today.

Over in the WOMB Lounge, under the banner "Mr. Ho with Cowboy Family," Mr. Ho, the curator of Klasse Recordings, a record collector, DJ, and producer, will be gracing us from Hong Kong. The lineup also includes Yosuke Wada from Cowboy Family and Takashi Himeoka, who boasts releases on Cabaret Recordings.

Every weekend, dj masda is invited to DJ somewhere in the world, and he continues to make a name for himself at high-profile festivals such as Houghton Festival, Dimension Festival, and Glastonbury Festival. The updates from the floor and encounters with artists who have naturally developed friendships there seem to have formed Cabaret Recordings.

Looking back at the minimal house/techno derived scene of the past decade and looking at the current scene, we feel that it has developed in a complex and colorful way, incorporating elements of UK tech house, electro, breakbeats, and even italo house and body music. Cabaret Recordings has been a driving force in the scene by picking up the hottest talent (sometimes before they even get noticed) and maintaining its own unique line of music that dares to be off the center of the scene. Releasing singles and albums at a rate of two to five per year, the company will release number 35 this year, its anniversary year.
