XTAL

XTAL began DJing in 1995. As one half of Traks Boys alongside k404, he serves as a resident DJ at DK SOUND, an industrial rave party held on the rooftop of a factory in Kawasaki’s industrial district.

He has also released music extensively through a number of projects, including the band (((さらうんど))) with Jun Kamoda, a unit with Naritomo Yoshizawa, guitarist of Your Song Is Good, and a collaboration with dance music producer Keita Sano.

As a solo artist, following singles on Crue-L Records and Beats In Space Records, he released his debut album Skygazer on Crue-L Records in 2016, followed by his second album Aburelu on his own label Cizima in 2020, and his third album EKO on KAKUBARHYTHM in 2024.

With club music at his core, XTAL takes a flexible approach to both DJing and production, moving freely across a wide range of genres and eras.
