SO began DJing at the age of 18 in Sendai. He has since spent more than 20 years as a resident DJ and organizer of the outdoor festival The Labyrinth. His style is defined by smooth, assured mixing and carefully constructed storytelling that gradually builds in intensity, an approach he has refined over the course of his long career.

In 2016, he performed at Germany’s Nachtdigital, where his set attracted widespread attention and marked the beginning of his growing international presence. Since then, he has played at many of Europe’s leading clubs, including Berghain, De School, Concrete, LuxFrágil, Tresor, ://about blank, and Ankali, and has also contributed a podcast to Resident Advisor.

In recent years, he has continued to appear regularly at major European festivals, including his third appearance at Portugal’s Waking Life, as well as Garbicz in Poland, Draaimolen in the Netherlands, and La Nature in Belgium. His set at Spain’s Paral·lel Festival 2025 was widely praised as one of the festival’s highlights. Year after year, SO continues to strengthen his presence on the international scene.
