RYOKEI began his DJ career in 2010. While his roots lie in minimal and deep house, he has continuously absorbed elements from techno, electro, breaks, and progressive house, shaping his signature dope and trippy sets. In 2014, he launched his own party, How High, curating lineups featuring leading DJs in the scene. Since 2021, his focus has shifted to ALIEN SEX FRIENDS, which he co-runs with his longtime collaborator P-yan. Through this project, he has shared the decks with top-tier artists such as Kino, Mr. Ho, Unai Trotti, and Magico, expanding his musical connections. Beyond Tokyo, RYOKEI has performed across Japan and Europe, continuously building his experience. In recent years, he has been frequently invited to play at clubs throughout Asia, including Ring and modeci in South Korea, 宀 (mihn) in Hong Kong, and Savage in Vietnam—some of the region’s most respected venues.

As a producer, he has also made his mark. In 2022, he released his own tracks on vinyl through the How High label. In 2024, he contributed to a release on A.S.F.RECS, the label arm of ALIEN SEX FRIENDS.
