Licaxxx

LICAXXX is a Tokyo-based DJ, beatmaker, editor, and radio personality. She began DJing in 2010. Rooted in machine-driven techno and house, her sets channel the energy of youth culture, boldly shaping the mood and bringing the dancefloor together.

Her Boiler Room Tokyo set in 2016 has garnered over 700,000 views. She has performed at major festivals across Japan, including Fuji Rock, as well as leading European club events such as CIRCOLOCO at DC10. She has contributed DJ mixes to radio stations including NTS Radio and Rinse France, and in 2022 successfully completed an Asia & Europe tour spanning 12 gigs across six countries. She continues to expand her activities around the world.

Inspired by Gilles Peterson, she founded the video-streaming radio platform Tokyo Community Radio, which focuses on emerging talent. Alongside regular broadcasts featuring local Japanese DJs, the platform aims to create a space where DJs from around the world can connect when visiting Tokyo.

She has also produced music for numerous fashion shows, primarily working with ambient sound. Her music has been featured in collections by yoshiokubo and Chika Kisada, and more recently, she has taken on music production for Japan’s women’s basketball W League.
