CHIDA is one of Japan’s most versatile and deeply knowledgeable DJs—highly respected among peers and often described as a true “DJ’s DJ.” Based in Tokyo since 1992, he has built a reputation for delivering seamless, open-to-close sets of the highest quality, often in intimate venues, with a musical range stretching from cosmic disco to dark electro. A dedicated vinyl collector for over three decades, his vast record archive fuels a style that transcends genres and eras. Founder of the Ene label, CHIDA has performed at some of the world’s most celebrated clubs and parties, including CockTail d’Amore and Berghain | Panorama Bar in Berlin, Lux Fragil in Lisbon, Zodiac and Potato Head in Indonesia, Savage and The Observatory in Vietnam, and Nyapi in South Korea. In Japan, he holds regular residencies at Mitsuki in Shibuya and Numm in Aoyama. CHIDA also hosts a monthly program on Mutant Radio (Tbilisi), showcasing a selection distinct from his club sets, earning praise from deep music enthusiasts worldwide.
