Complexstore, a project by culture brand śūnya that collaborates with different artists for each unique theme, is celebrating its 5th anniversary.

This time, DJ Kensei makes his debut, bringing a unique, boundary-pushing approach that spans from the disco era of the '80s and the early '90s hip-hop scene to the present. Beyond his solo work, Kensei has been involved in numerous groundbreaking projects, including Indopepsychics, Final Drop, Nude Jazz, Outerlimits Inc, Kemuri Productions, Kensei & Quiet Storm, Banana Connection, Coffee & Cigarettes Band, Oma’ N’ Sei (w/ Suzuki Isao), Ispaar Band, Colorful House Band, Kokenshow, and Loops. He also heads Sorameccer Sound Design, a label focusing on multi-dimensional sound and art.

Returning as a co-headliner, Nicola Cruz from Ecuador brings his unique blend of Latin American cultural diversity and deep appreciation for its sounds. Utilizing tools from analog synthesizers to field recordings, he continually explores fresh sound textures and possibilities, making his sets unforgettable.

Opening the night, Lily will present an eclectic set rooted in Detroit and Chicago house and UK sounds, infused with jazz, funk, and global influences, embodying a distinctive, organic crossover style in alternative dance music.

Each floor offers something exclusive to this event: the New Morning unit, created by Bushmind x Aquarium a.k.a. Sotokanda Deepspace, transforms the space; Matsumoto Zoku Band will perform a live set that continues to evolve across global stages; and Tatti x Sunga will join forces for a unique B2B set.

Other talented artists include Nari from CYK, Stillmoment—who’s been rapidly gaining recognition across diverse projects, Chida—a highly regarded artist within and beyond Japan, and Ryosuke. This night promises an unmissable experience, showcasing a lineup that can only be experienced here. Don’t miss this memorable evening!

What is the "Shibuya Entertainment Festival"?
The Shibuya Entertainment Business Association, a voluntary organization promoting "better manners" and "self-regulation for safety," leads the festival. It aims to support the local community in Shibuya and revitalize the entertainment scene. The event, launched in 2016 after the revision of Japan’s 60-year-old Entertainment Business Control Act, is now one of the largest club circuit events in the country. It has become a key attraction for foreign visitors, residents, and young people to experience Shibuya's vibrant club culture.
