ドラムンベース MC としてブレークするという過酷な試練をやり遂げた SP:MC は、今や業界でトップを争うアーティストとなった。Friction、dBridge、Instra:mental 達をホストとし、多芸多才で独特なスタイルを持ち Younsta、Skream や Benga といったダブステップのトップアーティスト達からの注目を浴びている。プロデューサーとしても活躍する彼は、Tempa、Shogun、Exit からリリースを重ね、別名 Code 3 としても活動している。
SP:MC と Jubei が制作したミックステープを聴いた MC GQ は、カムデンの Digwalls で自身が主宰するマンスリーイベント Emcee Sessions のレジデントとして2人と契約を結び、ブレークへと至る。SP:MC は Friction とのツアーを期に Shogun Audio と、そして dBridge や Instra:mental の MC に選ばれた事で Exit Records / Automatic と親交を深め、その他多数のレーベルを代表するアーティストとなった。
SP:MC は MC GQ や Dynamite & Conrad からの影響を受け、'03年には'Best Breakthrough MC' として Knowledge D&B Awards に、'07年には BBC の 1Xtra's XtraBass Award に、そして '09年と '10年には D&B Arena Awards に 'Best MC' としてノミネートされた。
制作面では '05年に Breakage とのコラボレーションから始まり、MC VERSE ともコラボレーションを制作。'08年には Tempa からリリースしたダブステップの王道 'Trust Nobody' が大ヒットした。'09年には Code 3 として盟友 Jubei、Dankuan と 12" デビュー作 'Delta' をリリースし、現在まで Shogun Ltd、Coded Music、Tempa、Exit Records、Kryptic Minds' Osiris Music、Critical など多数の有名レーベルからリリースを重ねている。'11年には SP:MC として 2011 DNB Anera Awards の Best MC Award を獲得し、シーンを沸かせている。

Making the breakthrough into the world of the drum & bass MC is no small task, yet SP:MC has managed to establish himself as one of the busiest and most innovative on the circuit. Host of choice for the likes of Friction, dBridge and Instra:mental, his distinctive yet versatile style has also made him a favorite with top dubstep artists such as Youngsta, Skream and Benga. He's also proved to be a talented producer in his own right with releases on Tempa, Shogun and Exit.
SP:MC's first break came after MC GQ heard one of his early mixtapes with Jubei, and MC GQ made them residents at his own monthly Emcee Sessions event at Digwalls in Camden. SP:MC then became close to Shogun Audio after touring extensively with Friction, and Exit Records/Autonomic after becoming the MC of choice for dBridge & Instra:mental. He has also represented for countless other labels. SP:MC was hugely influenced by MC GQ, Dynamite and Conrad, and in '03, he was nominated for 'Best Breakthrough MC' at the Knowledge D&B Awards, 'Best MC' at BBC 1Xtra's XtraBass Awards in '07, 'Best MC' at the D&B Arena Awards in '09 and '10. On production side, he started producing tracks in '05: collaborations with Breakage on Shogun Audio, followed by tracks with fellow MC Verse, and '08 saw his monstrous dubstep track 'Trust Nobody', released on the infamous Tempa imprint, to widespread acclaim. '09 saw Code 3 release their debut 12", 'Delta' and 'Escape Hatch' on Shogun Ltd, 'Payload' followed soon after on Coded Music, and later that year he released a follow-up 12" on Tempa with Joker D. A Code 3 release on dBridge's label Exit Records landed early '10, followed by SP & Youngsta's collaboration 'Unidentified' on Kryptic Minds' Osiris Music imprint. SP:MC has also won the best MC award at the prestigious '11 DNB Arena awards.
